What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Added my HomerTaco Satoshi Grill and some Steelcraft gloss black taillight guards!

 

POR15 likes the "bite" that sandblasting gives. I don't know if it opens the pores in the metal or what the science is but I have had great success with this method. Use sand and not "media" like soda or glass beads, just plain old sandbox sand is what I use.

 

Did this last weekend the reinforcement cap and plate from Mobtown. The thing is amazing, longer install than I thought but real easy.

Installed the Icon progressive AAL I got during cyber Monday. Small lift makes a big difference in rake correction on my stock Baja suspension with shell. Super thrilled with results!

 

Added the Ram ball to the A pillar bottom screw hole and used the cradle for my Garmin GPS 78. The cradle holds my Baofeng, my iPhone and of course the GPS. Great idea i got from @ProForce

 

Installed the heated mirror switch that I completely forgot I purchased a while back. I gotta order the new mirror glass and build the harness still but atleast I have the switch sorted out

 

Installed a set of Philips Ultinon LED headlight bulbs as well as a fresh set of NGK plugs.

 

Put a new HU in couple days ago.

HU is a Pioneer AVH-3800BHS

Also while I had it apart I switched out the factory Aux only port for this Usb/Aux port.

Old one popped out, and this one fit perfect and snapped right in.

 

Sweet! I love that mod. I just have the X grip on mine for my phone since i pull gps from my phone and it mirrors to my head unit through android auto. And my comm is a yeasu base unit rather then hand-held but sounds like a pretty versitile setup you made

 

Dialing her in a bit. Was still in spec, but toe definitely needed adjusting. Lost a few tenths positive caster. Still at about 3 degrees.

1. Speaking of Massachusetts Des0late93, have you heard about the new law coming supposedly? Just got my inspection sticker and the guy told me they are passing a new law(almost 90% sure it will pass he said) requiring us to have 100% stock lighting or we will fail inspection. He said you can't even have a different headlight bulb in rather that the one that came with the vehicle stock. No different taillights, no different fog light bulbs or no aftermarket fog lights at all. No LED bulbs in your reverse lights, no LED's for your license plate bulbs, no different anything having to do with optics. Going to have some super special thing that will measure and or test all this stuff. Everything needs to be factory lighting, period(if this passes).

Not 100% yet but this guy seemed to think it was happening. Unless he was making it sound worse than it was? But he told me how my truck would fail instantly because I have almost everything that I wrote above telling you that we can't have. He was telling me as a friendly warning. Preparing me for next year(which is now this year 2017). He's not one of those sticker Nazi's. He'a actually pretty lenient which is why i go to him. Getting harder and harder to live here.

 

What upper arms are you running? Truck looks great!

It's important to head off this sort of crap before it gets signed into law. SEMA has the time and money to fight it.
