We were laughing it is citric clean 98% / 2 % petro products according to the test lab label . It was waiting pick up you could pretty drink the damn stuff and it wouldn't have hurt you lol. They still made us sawdust it up out of the spill pit put it in over pack drums and send it off .. LOL

When I got my reenlistment bonus on my first enlistment first thing I bought was a FJ55 Land Cruiser. Second thing was $1,000 in Craftsman tools. They had a 50% off sale the next week and went back to the store with the receipt and Sears sent me a check for $500. They have sat in storage sheds near the salt air on both coasts while I was deployed so some have rust on them now.
    Craftsman.jpg

In 82 took the ferry across Puget Sound to join the CoOp at REI in Seattle. That is where they started and was the only store at the time. Bought one of the first Goretex Parkas ever made there. It was made down in Oregon by Columbia. Yes before Ma Columbia got in a pissing match with Gore and went to hell in a hand basket they made some pretty decent stuff. Called REI a number of years ago for my member number and sure enough they had me on record.

My membership was $5 at the time and I thought it a lot LOL. Iowas are damn fine boots if they fit your feet.

Thanks, wish they didn't have rust on them. But still work just fine. Have thought about using the citric acid thing to clean them up but the coating is worn off them where rusted so not sure it will help.

    Ain't missing much.
The Maine store is small. The West Hartford store ain't much bigger.
Many of the catalog items are not stocked in smaller stores.
Now the Pa. store, that's another story.
Think they stock everything in there and I can get in trouble there.
    Not only that, This place...
    http://www.dietrichsmeats.com
is nearby as well as this place...

Between the three, I can drop some serious coin. Glad I'm 3 hours away.

    Morning all

I have bought so much from REI, for me and the scouts, one dividend check and a sale got me a YETI cooler for $150.
Now I walk around the store and I have nothing else to buy, so sad, so much money. Between the truck and the scouts I have spent my retirement fund. I am now in recovery mode.

Lowas are my favorite. they cost more but last longer and I wear them everyday and my feet are happy which means my back and knees are happy too.

    Same here.

5 and dime store has a good selection of coolers and it's where I've seen igloo makes a USA made injection molding chest. Very nice. Seems more are being made here now.
Yeti coolers from Philippines the mugs are from china.
My chest is made in China but couldn't afford an injection molded one 75 quart and still eat.

normally I would never pay what they charge for a YETI but at half price it was worth it. I was looking at the fridge freezers but 800 bucks was more than I could justify.

I use arctic ice blocks in mine. There's a fridge and a freezer block. Small and large.
