I have HiLift as well and a shovel and axe in the truck all the times. Also going to order a 20v Impact drill pretty soon to have on hand.

I do need to order some spare parts like a spare CV and a couple other things, just not sure what all I need to have on hand as far as spare parts.

Yep, is the GPS you have going to work for the files or do I might need to look at getting one?

Wish I would have kept that RAM mount, could have mounted it on the Passenger side and used it for Navigator.

 

I fount some maps to load into my GPS, however i have not found how to access them on the gps as of yet. I am going to do a bit more research and i will let you know. I did get the GPS updated last night. I will also get the gps app they talked about for my phone. I have $12 credit in the play store so i can use that.

When I'm wheeling I carry a CV axle, inner/outer tie rod ends, tire patch kit/valve stems. Those are the things that will strand you, most everything else you can limp to help or your totally hosed already.

 

Well, shit. Looks like I'm buying more stuff eventually.

Might want to add a belt and radiator hoses, too.

 

Sweet. What GPS do you have?

Would love to get an iPad or something to have HEMA maps loaded onto, but thats a lot of money right there for a GPS.

Thanks for the info! Going to get a CV Axle and Tie Rod Ends. I have an ARB Tire Kit in the truck all ready and an ARB Compressor.

Also have a spare belt on the way to me already!

 

I've been very happy with Gaia Pro gps. Being able to layer/switch maps without cell service is very handy.

 

I used to just get a cheap CV from O'Reilly and return it but I just bought a CVJ reman to use as a spare. TREs are cheap.

 

I just like having a separate unit for GPS with a big nice screen. Apps are great, but always something else going on through your phone.

 

Make sure you have a valve stem, I broke one off and my tire was empty in about a minute.

 

Where would be the best place to buy that stuff?

For trail spares I usually just buy the O'Reilly/AutoZone special, whichever is convenient and return it the following week. The TREs I have are already a little bent but will get me off the trail.
