    I honestly don't think your initial reversal of vacuum lines did anything. I had lots of vacuum problems after my swap and that usually just leads to a ruff idle.
    I really think you have something electrical that is not plugged in or bad ground, or like I side before firing order.

    It really sounds like a MAF thing, did you take it out? I don't think they can even go in backwards. Check all the vacuum lines and hose fittings between the maf and the throttle body.
    check for splitting ext, any chance of damage replace, vacuum leaks in that area cause the biggest impact because the throttle body is getting a different amout of air than the MAF is saying.
