Well then apparently all the dealers around here are lying, or being exceptionally nice. Because I know multiple people who have purchased vehicles from Toyota dealerships with lifts done on them at a 4x4 shop (for which a friend is also the manager), and they have all stipulated that they will cover the lifts, etc., under their warranties when purchasing the vehicles.

You just proved his point, the DEALERSHIP IS COVERING THE PARTS NOT TOYOTA. Dealerships are independently owned and if they want to install aftermarket parts and warranty them they can, but Toyota is not covering the bill.

The first accident, yes, I'd agree. Those other two accidents were kinda meh. I'd still work with 19, only if the new vehicle price is near invoice price (e.g., price to get it on the lot)

He's more correct than you know. People believe that big companies have incredible databases with omniscient knowledge of everything about your vehicle, when really it's very often that "the bigger you are, the more there is to forget" because there's so much data and moving parts.

I had a solenoid go out on my transmission. I rolled into the dealer on 255 KM/2s, OME lift, Relentless front bumper, and rims that had some chunks taken out. Service guy quoted $3.5k for new tranny. I mentioned I was still 5k away from losing the warranty, does that still work? I in such a way that it showed I was unsure of the outcome, but was honest in hoping to avoid a large bill - something people can relate to. He said he'd go check. He comes back, sure enough, it can be covered. Here's your rental, see you in a few days.

In a different situation (just a few weeks back), my Sears Platinum battery started having issues. I only had it for a year. Local shop says I'm screwed, they don't carry that line anymore, the system doesn't reimburse for cash. I can receive a replacement gold series battery. The replacement is worth $150, mine was $310 new, I would just have to suck up the loss or try convincing corporate. I limped around for a few days until it got really bad Christmas Eve. I took it to a different shop. The guy again said the platinum line isn't around anymore, and that the battery I was using was not designed for what I was using it for (he was right, I was one of those people who tried using the group 36 AGM as a main battery, I didn't know any better). He could have outright voided my warranty. Instead, he says, "It's the day before Christmas, it's super cold out, and you probably can't make it home. How about we sell you a gold series, which is the same as what came stock, and I credit your card the difference?" The system attempted to deny the process, but he was able to run a different diagnostic code which allowed him to complete the transaction.

Sometimes it's a dealership that doesn't mind being nice, other times it's dealerships that know how to work the system better than corporate and can sneak in a fix because they know/feel rules are sometimes BS or need to be bent.
It may be worth trying one more dealer, and being honest about the experience. Say that you didn't know that you are surprised your mods could have blown the tranny, and you just wanted one last opinion "from an expert before taking the word of a guy in a tie." I can't say luck will be different, and you may have something in the system actively denying claims, but someone new may sympathize or give you good advice.

I guess you failed to read the part where he called Toyota Corporate and they denied him because of the lift? Yea but good luck I'm sure just going to another dealer will work and they will never keep a record of that.....

I'm sorry you are so angry about people providing hope and or constructive advice, but I was suggesting that the OP be transparent with whatever secondary dealership he talk to. Explain what you did, explain you were stupid for asking questions to the wrong people.
I apologize if that wasn't implied in what I had suggested.

In my example of the battery, the second place I went to could have had their hands tied as well: even though it couldn't supply power under load no matter how long it had been charged, the battery would still read 'good, low charge'. As a result, the database would report a warranty fix isn't needed, it just needs to be charged. Applying common sense, the service guy knew the battery wasn't ever going to work, so he just faked the scan by reading off a dead battery he had on the shelf to force the code he needed. If I hadn't gone to this second shop, I would be out $450.

It's very possible the OP is beyond help at this point, but with several thousand dollars on the table, why not give things a try? Worst that can happen is they laugh at you and you start making friends with people at Hot Topic... please OP, don't go that far.

Why can we just stop fighting, the truck is gone!
I was sold on 22k for it, and got a 2017 crew max tundra for 39 out the door.

I'm no expert and this is just my opinion
but Tacoma's are rated to pull a couple thousand pounds so how could adding a lift with bigger tires put more strain than towing
    Doesn't seem right to me

    Just saying

Love the Tundra, and is a lot better than the 3rd gen taco. With those offset wheels and tires you might end up having rack issues. Just be prepared, I have seen them fail at 20k on Tundras.
