3rd Gen Access Cab owners, post 'em up! Let's see a pic of your rig and hear why you chose to go this route instead of a double cab. Mine was a combination of things... I don't have kids at home anymore so the most that is usually in my truck is me and once a week or so my wife. I honestly like the looks of the AC more than the DC. Lastly, I wanted a 6' bed and IMO the DC looks disproportional with a 6' bed. Anyway, let's see what you've got. Welcome to the Access Cab Mafia!

I just traded a 15 DCLB for a 17 AC. I very rarely used the rear seats and the AC is MUCH more maneuverable. And I wanted the 6 foot bed.

No pics right now, but I have no use for the double cab, and need the bed space. Just wish the OR was available in MT like Canada gets. I love the look of the access cab too, the dcsb looks like someone cut half of its butt off and the dclb was too long for me, as the double cab isn't needed. It's the perfect size for what I want!!

I chose the access cab because I had an F150 SuperCrew and nobody ever sat back there. The back was only for my dog. I like the look of access cabs way more so I went for it. I'm stoked on the choice.

Main reason for me was bed length and looks. Never have liked crew cab proportions and the bed ends up just a bit too short sometimes. Plus, when my buddies see those tiny seats they opt to drive and I save gas money :D Only way I would've gone crew cab would be with a long bed, but I wanted a base model so at that point I probably just would have gone with another AC Tundra.

Btw, really like the set up OP!IMG_3278.jpg IMG_3626.jpg

2017 - only a couple small mods - backup lights being the only real visible one so far:

No - I traded a guy at the dealer who just bought a Sport and wanted the OR wheels - I liked the way the Sport rims looked with the color and 16" vs 17" isn't too big a deal for me.

I couldn't get my factory wheels off and my new ones on quick enough! Love the truck... Hated the wheels and the cheese grater grille.
