Hmmm ... Ok brother, me if I'm outta line, but ...

An hour drive is somewhere around 60 miles, I'm guessing here, so play along. Your truck gets somewhere around 20-25 MPG, again I'm guessing: that's $4 x2 = $8. What's your hourly rate? If it's more than $3 ... Give 'em the digits and tell em "send it."

I've read you post about this chair for a while now, I know you want it ... So I'm just sayin' ...

@Kevin My math above is how I decide what's worth paying for here locally in the valley, or driving to Anchorage to get.

 

@Mike remember that wind we mentioned...It's now blowing 33MPH, gusting to 47MPH. My ambient temp is 17°F, my windchill temp is -2°F. I'll gladly take back an ambient of -2°F.

 

I have a lot of stuff shipped at work just because it's faster and easier for it to come to me. For my personal stuff, it does come down to formulas like that or getting the sale locked in. I like online shopping. Less bs, no door dings in the parking lot, no standing in line.

You're back to work Monday I guess. Then the equation would say it's worth your time to go get it. How many do they have? Now it's an odds game of how many do they have and how quickly are they likely to sell in the time it takes you to get there? A tough call that only you can make.

My now fully informed gut says, "I'd be in the truck on my way to Cabelas." Good luck Brother.

Call Cabelas and find out how many they have. Then you either wait 'til morning and go get one, or you pay 'em to ship it ... But not have it next week. Rock and hard place.
