Got those fancy snow boots from Cableas today. Took me awhile to figure out how to do the BOA thing and just loosen them Think I can drive in them and use as a general purpose boot and might get a pair of pac or muck boots in addition. Although I do have a pair of Insulated Burly LaCrosse that would suffice. Used to wear them when I archery hunted, also have a pair of La Crosse Grange that more than 20 years old. Damn I can come up with more excuses to buy more boots..

Rotation. If you only knew how many pair of boots I have...

Was taught a long time ago that 2 pair of boots rotated each day last twice as long as buying and wearing out 1 pair of boots then another. Well lets just say I put that plan into action. With enthusiasm.

 

Oh and specialization. Only wear this boot for hunting this species under these conditions. These boots for snow around house. These boots for cleaning up dog poop. These boots will never see pavement or paved trails. etc.

 

We would do anything to help the boys.

I've gotten to where I now have 2 different styles of boots. Helps my feet. I have one pair of each new in box waiting.
Trying to catch sale to replenish.

I use my worn out boots for "septic tank diving"
"Ditch work"
"Special occasion" I break out the new lace up hiking boots
Can't wear anything else.
