I saw a YouTube video of a guy talking about interference. I didn't see how to fix. I'm thinking of getting one too. It should just be some thin foil to get some more range.

I'll have to look in to it. Not even sure what the camera wire looks like or how accessible it is.

I wouldn't buy a top of the line drone if I didn't know how to fly first. You buy moderate first so you can learn cuz you will crash the shit out of it. I can vouch for that and I'm sure @lesterb315 will too. My drone is still the "real thing" but you cray cray if you think ima drop a grand for a top of the line one as my first one and learn to fly lol.

I won't need it to go far. I plan to beat a drone up filming trucks, dirt bikes and whatever weird crap I think of. Camera is pretty good on it too.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy how much the one I have had handled the crashing and free falling from a couple feet up in the air. Can't imagine the feeling of watching a $1K worth drone free falling lol

Are you looking to get the same one I got? I'm going to test the camera tomorrow on it while out shooting. I'll let you know how it is
I near shit my pants when I saw mine free fall 100+ feet haha. I'm surprised how durable these are. It went all around a tree and down and started right back up

I'm planning to grab your model or maybe the X8HG. This has altitude hold. Only depends on if it can work ok. Here is video of yours.

edit: around 5:00 he said he found a short in the transmitter that messed up some of the range

I went with this one because I know it'll last me long enough to get good enough before I buy a $500+ drone. Sure I could have gotten a $50 one to learn but this one had a camera that I can swap with my GoPro which was my main reason for getting this one. I'll probably be buying an indoor drone too for $60 to better my skills and then maybe next year drop some bills and get a Phantom

y'all should get rc helicopters. they actually take skill to fly, unlike the drones which get boring af after you get over the relatively short learning curve.

one looks like a full size helicopter and is half as difficult to fly as the real thing. the other is a drone, which is about as hard to fly as a methhead in a windtunnel. no offense to any amateur drone ops in here, they just get boring as fuck super quick. i spose having a camera on it makes things a bit more interesting but i've never really got off on the whole voyeurism thing..

If the copters are easier, why not just mount a gopro onto that instead of a drone? Or am i missing something? Lol guess i'll just have to get er done :infantry:

It takes a lot of practice. Also, the less expensive ones are SUPER susceptible to even light gusts of wind. Great feeling when you get the hang of it in a living room with a ceiling fan, then take it outside and can rip around trees like a badass!
