    I agree though my kids swear they will drive to the veterans home drop me off with a 3 ring binder on care and feeding and a letter of apology as they leave the state :}
    On a serious note I do dread this myself my father is 75 and not in the best of health but I am sure he will be hell on wheels if he had to go into an assisted living etc facility. Sorry you are having to go through this Silverjack doesn't the state have an elder advocate or dept. of aging or something . Maybe Social Services ?? I know nothing about this but what friends have told me about it and what they went through .

    How about nothing hotter then the little Italian peppers from an antipasto .. I used to eat hot stuff but still never go any further then jalapenos and even then only in a slice or two.

    Policy and job description dictate I wear steel toe boots and it's taken years for me to find a comfortable steel toe boot.

    Have a small router and pick a profile that will let you cut it back some , OZ might be the guy to ask but router it back repaint no one will ever know the difference.

    We're required steel toe also but they allow the new red wings with the composite toe. They're light and have the rotating cable tie with quick release. The whole upper is cordura

    I hated my steel toes especially in winter , we were able to go to a fiberglass toe so I went and got linesmen boots . Thicker caps , instep and side leather to handle the metal if it fell.

    That treadmill speed is getting it. They asked me to do the weekly challenge with fit bit. I had 79,000 steps in 5 days so they don't want me to do it anymore

    I grew up with guns and don't run. Well I tried to tell the Navy that but they didn't buy it.

    My new snow boots look more like running shoes than snow boots, and are the snow runner boots. And look ma no laces! Well not in the traditional sense. I'm already starting to like them. Only spent 20 min. outside with them so far but it is exactly 0 right now.

    Only 400 grams of insulation so more an intermediate level boot. But so far doing pretty good.

    The crazy thing is that she is in one of the better care facilities in Florida. The State won't do anything until she is flat broke and has no place to go. When she paid into this place it was all sunshine and unicorns, and now they are pumping her bank account like a horny baboon. If I push too hard I'm afraid they will say she can't stay or will move her to one of their nursing home facilities. Maybe it will all work out for the best, but right now I'm not getting a good feeling. I still haven't seen the hospital bills show up yet. I hear it takes a good long while before the insurance and medicare passes along the costs. Just the thought of it keeps me up at night.

    My long term plan is to launch myself off the Sunshine Skyway bridge when the time comes. No way I'm going to let these buzzards pick me apart. At least I get to rest where I used to sail.
