I tend to drive with the window down during warm weather and found that I had to peg the volume to 50 to overcome the wind noise when using my iPhone w/BT connection. I hate AC. Sometimes even with the window up some softer songs are drowned out by tire noise. So I copied my iTunes library over to a USB jump drive and plugged it into the port, chose Music Source: USB and now the music plays about 30% louder than the iPhone at a given setting. The music even seems clearer. I realize the direct USB to Entune is probably more robust than BT. Anyway, the song info and art are displayed on the head and you can choose "RAND" for random playback, which is my preferred option. Or you can search for specific songs. As with BT, the music will stop when a phone call is received or initiated. I just leave the USB drive plugged in until I add new songs to iTunes.

Turn the volume the whole way up on your phone when using BT.

Yeah, I've done that but the USB seems to me to be definitely louder. And the sound fidelity seems better. Or was it because I cleaned the wax out of my ears.:)

Normal. Thats how BT, sat radio etc work (different sources). I dont know if you can change the source level volume on the entune HU like you can on aftermarket ones though. On my daily, my BT and sat radio source level adjuster is 3 out of 5 to be the same loudness/output volume as the FM radio and USB inputs. Also, yes BT encoding, sat radio bitrate, etc will never be the same as a CD, or even USB input. Thats how it works.
