F41 was a performance suspension which came standard on the Z28, but mine was a base model. Total sleeper.

My 1986 Schwinn Predator Free Form EX. Paid for half of it and my parents (unknown to me) bought the rest. Found a new pool cue under the tree, went into the family room and there was the bike. Miss that bike..and want another one.

 

Very very cool. Must bring back some great memories!

 

I want one now so bad. Got stolen when I was almost 16.

 

You must be able to find one online somewhere. People restore bikes although the price today could get a little too crazy.

Yikes!! Is that problem with all CFL's? I know we still have some in our house.

Although, the hubby has this lighting project going on right now. He's swapping bulbs to LED's and a lot of our switches/dimmers too. He's going with stuff that we can turn our lights on using an app on our phone, it's pretty neat. He has our outside lighting on timers so they go on/off by themselves every day. If/when we ever go on vacation, we can program lights to come on/off.

He's having problems finding the right LED's and dimmer switches. For some reason - certain dimmers don't work with certain bulbs - causing them to flicker. The flickering drives him crazy. He's tried different dimmers and different bulbs.... He keeps coming up with ideas. Hopefully one of these days he'll get it figured out.

 

I read somewhere that some of the LED bulbs can not be used with dimmers. That was awhile back so somebody probably already solved that problem.

I didn't know, or had heard of a problem with the CFL bulbs. When I googled it to see, sure enough there's a picture just like mine. Matter of fact it looked exactly like my pic. LOL

After talking with a couple people, one had the same issue, so they got rid of them. We had that bulb for well over a decade, used it everyday for 3 or 4 hours easily. Then up in smoke it went. Just glad I came downstairs before it went into flames. The basement ceiling is open insulation which woulda caught fire and spread quickly.

I did file a report with the gov site for defective consumer products. They are sending me a paper copy to sign and return. Told them I could email them pics of it, but typical gov......no email.

 

I bought a couple LED bulbs recently. They state on the base they cannot be used with dimmers.

 

Some can, some can't. They will say on the box

 

I don't have any dimmers, so not something I've looked for. I do like how a lot of the LED bulbs have the vintage look.

 

Yup I just put nice rounded ones in my bathroom vanity. And yes they can dim..

 

Just read the "fine print" on the LED box. It says Lamp may not be compatible with all dimmers.

So it looks like it's the dimmer box "fine print" you have to read to find out if it works with that particular type of LED bulb.

 

Funny part of mine..right the day before Xmas my dad drove me to the store to pay more $$ on my bike from my paper route..I cried when I didn't see it in the window and the shop was closed for the day. They had bought it the week prior and hid it at someone's house.
