The A30's have been totally fine on the snow and ice here in CO so far this winter, including a few trips over Vail and Loveland passes in very poor conditions. Mine have 7K miles on them and zero issues with traction. I've always run BFG AT's living in the mountains and will go with the KO2's when I wear the stockers out, but figure I'll get at least two seasons out of them. Anyway, for now, the Toyo's have performed very well for a factory tire IMO.

The OEM rubber on my Limited is not very impressive in the snow, I added 3 bags (180 pounds) of sand over the rear axle and it still breaks free everywhere. Yes, it was indeed fun playing around, but for commuting I prefer something that will enable greater control in avoiding people texting while driving...

Probably go for the Blizzaks unless there is a better choice these days...

Gotta say that I live in British Columbia and have to say the stock winter tires that came in her have done me well. I will run them till they are toast then it's time for coopers or k02's. plenty of time to research:)

I had the firestones on my '16. They were OK in the snow, but 2WD not a chance here in southern BC where the snow always falls wet and slushy. Ended up replacing them recently with some General Grabber at2's and so far they are MUCH MUCH better. Have yet to experience a fresh snowfall again with them. But on the ice and leftover snow on the streets they are night and day. AND I haven't had to put it in 4WD to get out of some driveways and parking spots I did while on the firestones.

Yeah I'm up in buffalo and we had more than a foot of snow a little while ago and the tires did amazing but I'm going for duratracs maybe after my 5k sevice trying to get something with a better look but honestly if you drive in 4H and not drive like the idiots on the road you'll be fine.

I have the stock Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar and I will say they have been pretty damn good. The only time they lose traction... is when I want them to lose traction. Even with this wet/slush/snow we have in the Vancouver area.

I can leave it in 2WD and be just fine. People around me were fish tailing and all over the place. It is nice to have 4WD as an option though. I put it in 4Hi a couple times just for kicks and it handled amazingly well. Doesn't help stopping at all but I never got stuck and didn't slide around.

I would imagine those tires would be MUCH better than the firestone's. They were borderline sketchy driving around the coquitlam area. Down in the flats of poco through to mission they were okay.

My commute 2 days a week involves a drive from Langley to Richmond and I haven't had any issues. The Offroad tires are much more robust than the Firestones or Toyos that's for sure. That was one of the deciding factors for me going with the Offroad package.

When these wear out I will go with a different tire; however I am still impressed.

Here is my list in order:
    Falken Wildpeak AT3W
    BFG KO2s
    Goodyear Duratracs

I may or may not mount them on the TRD Pro 4runner rims. Still weighing it all out.

Finally got some snow, and I am pretty impressed with the stockers! They performed quite well.

Took them off my 3rd gen and are now running them on my son's first gen. We took it out today for a test in six inches of slush / snow mix on uncleared roads, they performed very well.

I'm near Buffalo as well. We've finally had some pretty snowy days and the stock Toyo's have been pretty good. They're no snow tire or Duratrac (which I had on my Ram), but in 4hi, they perform fine. I can start from a stop in pretty much anything, but they do break loose when moving pretty easily. I'll probably keep them until they need to be replaced, at which point I'll pick up some Duratracs (for looks and good all around performance).

The stock Toyo's on the sport did just fine in Tahoe area. 7 feet of snow in 4 days. I drove around backroads and fire roads looking to test the stock limits. Truck and tires did just fine.IMG_4261.jpg

Drove up to Big Bear a few weeks back the morning after a big storm, my OEM tires on my TRDOR did just fine, albeit I was using 4HI.

Yeah, I always use 4hi if it get even a little snowy, but the stock Toyo's are serviceable for sure. I'll probably keep them on there for 2 or 3 seasons until they need replacing. Then I'll go with the Duratracs.
