A question to our friends at @SouthernStyleOffRoad who monitor this thread...what would you consider the welds that attach the hoop to the rest of the bumper rated to? Specifically - could the hoop be safely used as a jack point? I just ran across this gizmo that attaches to your Hi-Lift and makes it a little easier to use on rock sliders and am wondering if it would be safe to use on the slimline hoop as well.

@friendlywithbears brought up the following solution as an option as well, and am wondering what our friends at SSO would recommend between the two. (Or advise against altogether.)

    Boom....just ordered one of these..

Should work on the shackles on the SSO slimline or my Factor55 hitchlink...or on my (yet to be purchased) sliders. Thanks again to @Boomer3731 for the assist.

Now just have to explain to the wifey what exactly this is and why it was so critical I get one...probably won't go so well.

No problem! Let me know how it works; the part and your explanation. I'll probably have to come up with an excuse of my own.

I'll probably get one soon as well. Though I just got full steel skids so I'm still explaining that one to the wife.

The welds are as strong as the ones on our rock sliders, the problem is that the face is only 1/8". I did design the hoop to fallout directly over the upright 3/16" winch plate supports, so they do have a solid base beneath them. Still, I dont recommend lifting your truck from the hoop. The shackle adaptor option someone found later is a much better setup. Those are intended for serious pulling capability.

Yep! Thanks for the confirmation! Just ordered one of those JeepsNeeds shackle adapters for my Hi-Lift.

25" I opted for their generic LED since it has lifetime warranty if I recall. Bought the premium harness, and then a mictuning switch off Amazon.

I got in on that as well.

It's a Rigid SR-20. Realize there are cheaper options out there that would have worked just as well....but with my luck I was sure that if I did that I would get the one bum one out of the lot and ended up having to drop the bumper to replace it.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
I'm thinking about this bumper. Mind answering a couple of questions?

    I have a lower sub-grille light bar.
    IMG_0913.jpg

    1. How much of it do you think the hoop would block?
    2. Does the bumper itself block any of this area?
    Thanks!

    2) The bumper won't affect the space, but a winch will probably not fit with it.

But if you get one to fit please let me know because I would like to put a light bar there too :)
