Same here , there's a lot of Chatty Kathy's here !!! . I was shocked how far behind I was just in a 4hr time frame this morning

Chuck it is a common thing to think that we have brown bears in our local mountains. I used to hear it all the time when I was a volunteer ranger up in San Gorgonio wilderness for many years. What we have are three color phases of black bears- kinda like old girl friends-blonde, brunette, and black. The true brown bears are way up north in Alsaka and are bigger than grizzlies, we DO NOT want them here!

Last known Grizzly in Calif was shot and killed in Tulare in 1922 . there has been discussion by the State to reintroduce the Grizzly back into Calif


Prior to 1930 not sure of the actual date there was Grizzly bears in Big Bear lake area , possibly around the turn of the century but on or around 1930 Calif Black Bears were introduced to the area

In the North 4 phases often happen with the black bear. Blonde, Cinnamon, Brown and of course Black. At one time wanted to get a grand slam, one of each. Then just a Cinnamon. Now to just take a picture of a Cinnamon in daylight would make me very happy.

LOL OK I will move it South to Vt. Getting pretty low and need to pick up some more so will likely get it from a coworker. His family runs a sugerbush operation just across the river in Wi. Lots of sapsuckers locally around here too but you pay a premium.

well, tried to put a rope light in my rails where the cleats go... that's when I figured out the truck needs to be running in order for that outlet back there to work. too bad.

 

Rewire or add another outlet. The wiring runs under the center console. Or run a line from the battery to the back, with a fuse inline
