I rode in a turd gen today also. Dash and cluster is def better than the 2nd gen. I would def take an off-road if it wasn't soooo damn much $

 

@Bentrodder and i thought the same about the dash. Did you see the built in tip-o-meter. Pretty cool.

I admit I don't know much about them. The only time i go in th 3rd gen forum is if I'm on my work phone logged in as guest . Too much stupid in there.

I haven't driven a turd yet, but the 4Runner cluster is similar. I really like it too and it got me thinking about how they do guage swaps on civics/íntegras with ones from an S2000.

I dug a bit deeper and went down a rabbit hole that's known as CAN bus hacking. It can be done but the amount of work is beyond my pay grade.

 

He's ok, he only gave me Tacoma tailgate inserts to give to my buddy. It's a 3rd gen thing I guess.

 

I rode in my sisters baby daddy's 2016 Offroad. Definitely liked the interior too

 

If you can pull that off it'd be very impressive and I'd love to see it.

 

If I could swap the dash and rear end of an Off-road 3rd gen, I'd be pig in shit.

All I need is a spare cluster and a shit load if time. Basically you read the current dash signals and translate to the new one. It might be done with just a harness.

Haha great minds think alike, already talked to him and he won't be in Bakersfield till end of Feb unfortunately. Wasn't sure if anyone was driving to LA anytime soon.
