Red LED interior dome light?

So I work a lot at night, and I hate killing my night vision.
Prior time in the military accustomed me to using red lights at night to see/read, and I want to try and see if there is a source for red LED interior lights available?

I'm running red leds in my map lights, picked them up from csjumper2003 on here

 

Superbrightleds - dome light number: "3022-R9: Red"

 

Do your foot wells too.

Did the truck come stock with foot well lights?

 

None at all or in the cup holders either. I just tapped into the parking light circuit and ran some LED strips under the dash.

I might do that but wire them to the door switch.

 

If you wire them to work with the door switch, you'll have to run a wire that has +12v on it all the time to the LEDs because the door switch switches the -12v.

There are a couple threads on here somewhere that detail how to do it.

Oooh, you guys know what would be even cooler?! Dual mode interior lighting with a "tactical" switch to go from white to red light.
