Lightbar installed. I still need to run the wiring. No clue how I'm going to do that.

Also @Taylor@KC HiLiTES you should have someone at your place install this on a 3rd gen Tacoma. The instructions aren't even close. And the hardware isn't correct (some of the nutserts should be for thicker steel).

I think I'm going to go to the dealer Monday and grab some new roof trim. The way the instructions say to install make it look a little ugly up there. I have a better idea but I'd already cut one side before I thought about it.

Hm very good to know. Can you PM me any and all notes that you may have from the install process as you did above?

Sorry it was tough, but it looks damn good up there!

No problem. Once my hands defrost I'll shoot you some notes. I wanted to take pics along the way but it's too cold and I wanted to get it over with! It's currently 10F. :(

The issue was just bolting down the light brackets. But I'll shoot you a message with notes.

I got it all working. Now just need to make sure it's aimed right. Ended up just drilling some little holes on the windshield trim and zip tying the cable to it.

On a good note - I'm worried about it getting stolen since its just bolts and it's off. I was going to email you guys and ask if you have any lock options since it seems like there's a lip in there. But...a top from a beer fits perfectly! So once I have it aimed I'll grab some jb weld and press in some beer caps.

I really like it. I just need to get it out of the garage and see how it really looks. I'll do that tomorrow.

@Taylor@KC HiLiTES novel sent! Let me know if you get it. I have various blockers on my laptop and it occasionally blocks buttons on this site so I had issues hitting send.

Same here! If they ship Monday I should have it Wednesday. That gives me a couple days after work during the week to paint. Then install Saturday.

Painting will be tough I think. Wednesday and Thurdsay are warmer at mid 30's. But also snow. Could be a little humid and cold. But I'm doing it anyway. I was going to do powder since it's so cold, but I want to install it now!!

    Faster than powdercoat! Haha

Last time I did my sliders I had a heater and went over each coat with a heat gun. I might stop by the powdercoater and ask. Last time they did my brakes it was it was three weeks. I don't think I can wait that long!

Damn that is a long wait. I was told about 2 weeks for my wait on powdercoat. If I rattle canned I would be too anxious to install and wouldn't give it the correct amount of time to let the paint cure

See. That's why you paint after work then install on the weekend. No matter how anxious you are, you still have to wait until the weekend. I wouldn't have time to install after work.

Now if I painted on Saturday I'd be installing the same day. And ruining the paint. Haha

    As you know, got it!

Do you mean a sort of film to protect them from rocks and other flying debris? Either way, no we do not. Those Pro6 covers are meant to serve as added protection from flying crap but also from UV rays. Most of our covers/stone guards (aside from the iconic vinyl ones) for our lights are some sort of hard plastic or acrylic rather than a standard film (like a laminx or 3M product). That said, I know many people like to put lamin-x on their aux lights but I've never had personal experience. I've heard a lot of great things about them though and have considered it for my own headlights actually.

I just checked their website and did some digging and they make a great variety of sizes of round clear film for $18 for two. The size I saw that should be close are 5.0"-6.0" in 0.25" increments. I don't have the exact diameter of the Pro6 lens (the whole unit is 6" wide) but I can get you a workable measurement probably by the end of the week if you need!

    Here's the page I am browsing: http://www.lamin-x.com/5-5-Clear-Round-Light-Covers-p/sb-5.5cl.htm

Yep those are the ones! I used them on my BRZ. No worries on the size I can get the measurements. :)

Okay on or off? I like the look off. And makes them easier to use. But the whole UV damage thing. I don't think lamin-x does UV. Maybe.

These things are pretty bright. I couldn't find anywhere totally dark to aim them but this is the best I could get that's sorta close to my house. The back of a high school. Not much reflection into the cab. I think that's partially due to my vinyl banner on the windshield.
