    Hey guys,

Have a leak from the front diff where the cv axle goes in. Drivers side. I replaced the seal and cv axle but it still leaks when I drive for a few miles.

My thought now is the front diff breather might be clogged.

Any tips or suggestions on how to clean it out?

    Thanks!

Just an update. Looked at the breather today and it looks like I might have to drop the diff to access it.

    Anyone have a better option?

I thought the vents were up inside the engine bay on the driver's side. 2 hoses/tubes that look like they're capped.

No not out of warranty yet.

Yeah the I located the diff breather. Just not sure what's best way to clean it out.

Should I just blow some compressed air through it, or disconnect it from the diff and clean it?

I just installed the ECGS bushing and new cv. That's when the leak started.

If its under warranty you should go to the Dealer.

    Yeah I'll probably do that.

Just wanted to see if there is any tips on cleaning the breathers as a last option.

Did you put in a new seal? Is it in backwards? Only asking because i know someone who might have done that when installing ecgs bushing:anonymous:.
Got new seal. Put in properly. No leaks.

Also, to get to the breather on top of diff is a royal pain in the dick. Almost gave up on it when we swapped my diff not long ago. Luckily @916TacoTruck has the hands of a small girl and was able to get it connected :p

    Yeah put in new seal.

I thought I had it in right. Which way did you install the seal?

Dont recall what it looked like. I just installed the(2nd) new one i got, opposite the way the other came out. No more leaks.

I'd bet this is your problem considering you didn't do anything else that should cause a leak. Good luck

    Soft hands too mister!
Definitely a pain, would highly recommend hiring a midget of some sorts.
