Buckle up, because we're about to go deep down a rabbit hole of how huge of a NERD I am.

I named mine Yukikaze. It's Japanese for "snowy wind," I figure that makes sense because it's white!

Well it goes deeper than that. Yukikaze was the name of a Japanese Destroyer in WWII, a very very lucky ship. She saw many battles but never was sank- she was at Midway, at Leyte, and even pulled survivors from the Yamato when that was sunk. After the war, she was used to transport surrendered Japanese soldiers back to the mainland. She was then given as a war reparation to China (The other China, ROC, aka Taiwan) and renamed the Dan Yang, and kitted out with all sorts of sweet American guns and fire control, and continued to kick ass. Japanese design with American goodies tacked on? Sounds about right too!

And then because Japan is Japan and I'm a big dork, I found out that they made a little browser game about IJN ships... Only the ships are all anime girls. (And it's absurdly addictive, but only really playable if you have a decent command of Japanese, plus there's actually a lottery for you to get a spot on the servers.)

Game Yukikaze gets lots of jokes tossed around about her because of how big her mouth looks in the game art. Again, sounds about right for a 3rd gen.

I'll ditch them for some Mobtowns after my 5 year old doesn't need them to climb up anymore. I'll trade three inches less clearance when I'm wheelin' for her company any day.

Not normally one to name vehicles, but my wife insisted that the truck be named "Belle" as in "Taco Belle".

 

My fiance' named my truck Tank.

 

I don't name my vehicles, but my GF calls it the Vomit Comet!
