Like mentioned I have three questions and I feel like you are the guys to ask.

My first question is a about a week ago I went ahead and replaced my uca, wheel bearing, coil, brakes and rotor on the driver side. I ran out of time so I parked the truck but it makes a horriable sound when I brake (hard braking) . Is this common ? With new brakes and rotors. ( brakes are ebc green brake pads) (rotors are ebc drill and slotted with the black ceramic coating on them)

Second question once I put it all back together the little black wheel bearing cap wouldn't seat back on , is this normal and do I need it ? Do you guys take them off once you replace wheel bearings ?

Third question is now that it is together it's riding very hard on the outside edge of the tire, is this something that will settle ? And if not is this something that the alignment shop will take care or is there something I should adjust ?

    No experience with aftermarket brakes...

But as to the tire UCAs

What UCA's did you go with? Adjustable?

Do you have a lift? How tall?

Did you get it aligned after the aftermarket UCA install?

If you had a stock upper control arm on it before it should be the same as it was before. Can't really mess that up unless the part was manufactured incorrectly. If you bought adjustable arms you probably have the ball joint too far out towards the tire. But an alignment shop can fix that. Brake noise just under braking? I would pull the caliper back off and see if you have something caught between the pads and the friction surface. A slotted or drilled rotor will make some noise under braking that you aren't used to though.

To question #2, dust cap help keep dust out of the hub, so probably a good idea to put back on. I have black stock rims and thought it looked cool without the plastic cover for the wheel so I painted my dust cover black (textured black to match my powder coat color) and called it good. I bent the sh** out of mine first try when I beat it on with a rubber mallet, so I bought new ones and found a pipe fitting that fit the edges for the second try.

For #3: should not be like that, I'd go for an alignment.

    This ^

From his specs it looks like no lift... which if he bought aftermarket non adjustable arms like camburg uniball... they might not be able to be adjusted into spec.

Sucks.. then you might just have to lift it :taco:

Why are you braking hard with new pads and rotors? EBC specifically says to not apply much braking pressure for 500 miles.

I would say hard braking since the truck hasn't even been driven 100 yards since all the work

lol, I remember trying forever to get the damn things on without damage by working the edges. Finally got pissed and whaled on the center like a wild man before they finally seated. Pipe fitting worked the best the next go around
