Actually they weren't....I wanted a manual but they didn't have one on the lot or anywhere close by. They told me it would be a special order and it would take about 3 months to get one in. (I wasn't waiting 3 months)

Only on select models, at least in Canada. I probably still wouldn't have gotten it, as I'm not the only driver. It would have made my decision a lot harder though.

I would have loved a MT but unfortunately its not an option in a DD due to health reasons. I do drive MT every time I get the chance but for now I have to leave it for a vehicle that is not my DD or road trip vehicle because I cant predict how my health will be tomorrow or the next day.

And just last week I wanted to get an arduino kit to explore basics of electronics so I can dive into CAN systems. Respect, sir.

Manual would have definitely been my first choice. I needed double-cab because i have two kiddos/car-seats, and long-bed for hauling/utility. Unfortunately i do not believe Toyota offers a manual in DCLB, at least not that i could find the two times i purchased tacos.

Get one, the nanos are cheap and powerful. If only I had the time to practice code. This has inspired me to try and write some sketches.

Yeah, thats what is keeping me from playing around with one. I'm not sure I have the time to learn the programming aspect of it.

For this application i used an arduino Mega 2560, although i do believe an Arduino Uno would have had enough memory, IO, and Serial-com to work. They are definitely capable little devices!

A few years ago I wrote some simple code for sending instructions for a device I was working with. Never got into the input aspect. The online community is HUGE though. I think if you thought if a specific project to accomplish it could be learned quickly.

Harvard has a free cs50 course to learn coding basics as well:

Oops, I meant uno. Any chance you will post an instructable or the sketch when you feel it is refined enough. Thanks for posting this is the motivation I needed to get my coding butt in gear.

Are you using just TPS, Speed, and RPMs? Are you able to read a load % value?

Is this basically your own programing version of the ECT mode button but in S mode ?
Edit, not to take away from what you have done as I believe it is great.
