Any of you guys see Laine's life end? Brutal hit. I know I always say this, but clean hit. You guys probably think I'm all about goon-hockey, but I swear that I'm not lol. But McCabe stepped up, clean hit, Laine wasn't aware of his surroundings, in the open. I hate to see him hurt, though. Apparently concussion.

 

It was a clean hit. Laine got rocked.

 

Why is it that hockey thinks that overtime losses aren't really losses when it comes to winning percentage...

Watching the Ducks/Wild game and apparently the ducks 11-11-11 record against the Wild is a 0.500 win percentage.. that makes no sense

 

Pretty bush league that they had Laine watching practice today. First rule of concussions is bed rest and minimal concentration on moving objects. Watching a practice in a white brightly lit room is just stupid. Doing so first the first few days of recovery when symptoms are present can make them worse and can increase the chances of permanent damage. I guess winterpeg doesn't give a shit about their future.

I'm actually quite miffed they won 6 in a row. I hope they go on a losing streak before the trade deadline so they dump assets and give kids more ice time. I'm looking forward to seeing what Bo and Sven can do with similar ice times as the Twins

They started the 2nd PP unit first in about 1/2 of their PP attempts in about the last 1/2 dozen games

 

I think the twins are holding change back in Vancouver. If they could be traded I'm sure someone with cap room and a shot at the finals would pull the trigger for a pile of return. Probably multiple high draft picks and maybe even a young prospect. Of course though Vancouver will follow Toronto's lead with Sundin and let them try to carry a shitty team well past their heyday into a last ditch playoff spot, or just on the outside looking in, and a first round knockout.

Yes, very odd. Especially because the 'no time-table for a return' makes me think it was rather serious. It sure looked like it was. He should not be at the rink or in any practice-related exercises (even watching / thinking about it), IMO. You are right about that
