Hey guys kind of new to this whole suspension thing. I have a question though. I plan on adding a bumper in the future and would like to get some OME 886 coils for the front to support it. Would I get any raise in height from the OME 886 coils? And then another question is I would like to run bilstein 5100s but I was reading on another thread it says not to run 5100s with aftermarket coils, so if I'm understanding this do I basically pick either one? Thanks

I'd suggest running one or the other. I'd stay away from running both. My brother has 885 coils up front I think and billys in the rear. 886 will run a very rough ride till you get your bumper. Most opt to do 887. Don't forget to upgrade leaf pack. If you weren't considering it before. Do it.

As far as lift goes with most after market they a lot for 3" lift which is standard. Remember. Do it the right way first and you won't have to wish you did it later or spend more money doing it properly. I went with ome first. I decided to upgrade again to kings. It's a much smoother ride. I did it bc I decided to run a 63 leaf in the rear and needed longer ones for travel. Kings offered me that. So I decided to match it up from with some extended travel kings. I'm waiting for warmer weather and I'll be installing my @Pelfreybilt bumper.

Just installed toytec coil overs 3 in with the 5100s they're nice n all but if your planning on adding 100+ lbs to the frt I'd say spend a bit more to get the right stuff. If not I'd sell you my set

Ok thanks guys. So how does this sound now, OME 885 coils, bilstein a set at 0, and AAL in the rear. Would I still be able to run a Pelfreybilt bumper with the 885?

IRRC you will want the 886 coils - they are rated for extra weight like winches and bumpers

What shocks should I run with the 886s? Since the 5100s aren't recommended to be run with 886. I know nothing about shocks. Haha

I have billstein 5100's all the way around with Toytec lift coils up front. Mine rides better than it did stock so I'm not sure why anyone would say not to run them both. Check out the build thread, it's all posted there

I would run bilstein 5100s, but I plan on adding a Pelfreybilt bumper so I'll need the 886s

How much of a lift do you have out of your setup? And the aluminum is like 65lbs I think, do you think you'll get any drop from it being 65 vs like 100-120

I got about 2.5 inches in the front and about 2 in the rear. I hope I don't have much drop but if I do I guess I'll have to change the coils out
