Dead serious. We were supposed to get 2-5", the storm was supposed to stay south of us. Then it moved north around noon and freaking stalled. By noon we had about 4" and between noon and 6 we had another 7".

I just hate having to deal with the salt.

Like right now, the roads are covered in salt...yet the air is as dry as it could be.

If we are going to have winter, i don't want it to fuck around. I want snow ass deep or rain. Nothing in between.

before the winter hits, i make sure that the undercarriage is fully painted. if i see any rust spots or bare metal, i quickly clean them up and shoot them with some bed liner. then at the end of the winter, i stick a lawn sprinkler under the truck for a couple hours (various locations under the truck), and let it do the work. some car washes have undercarriage wash options. later this week we're supposed to have a nice warm day. good time to get the crap off from this storm. my 10 year old truck has zero rust issues doing it this way.

Anyone want to go wheeling this Saturday the 14th? I'm in Bethesda, MD. Was hoping someone knows a place to wheel that is closer than Rausch?

I'm knew to the area, do you know a spot? I've only been to Rausch, but don't want to make the 3 hour drive this weekend.

There really isn't much close by for wheeling other than Rausch or GWNF which would be at least 2hrs or more depending which trail you do.Green Ridge state forest in Allegany co. is just forest roads and 2hrs from you .Kaos and the Cove only do events not open all the time there in Winchester Va. Rumor has it Red Cloud might be reopening eventually there in Northern Va near Woodbridge

Wait until it rains for a day or two.

Get your frame coated at least once a year.

There are places that do undercarriage washes but tey are few and far between

Did plugs today when I got home from work. First time doing it, probably waited a little to long (90k on her and haven't been done before) but glad it's done. Heading out Wednesday For Boston so figured hell $17 for plugs might as well get it done.
Took a little longer then expected, about a hour and some change but all and all pretty easy. IMG_6646.jpg

Does anybody know a good tire-shop near Montgomery County that would install 33" on my Toyota without overcharging? I don't want to order new tires and not be able to find a place that will install them because they are larger than Toyota's stock size.

Elite auto in laurel will mount and balance them for you. Not sure about their pricing. Alignment was fair for what I had them do
