Never knew pallets were worth anything. Back in upstate NY, the big shops toss them out by the road knowing kids will pick them up to have bonfires each day.

I think that's the point here. We have used pallets that we will happily let people come and take but as a business that ships pallets of product around the world every day we have to purchase some new which is what was stolen, along with the used ones. Ask youself, as a consumer that just invested your hard earned money into a new bumper how would you feel if it showed up halfway falling off a busted up and heavily used pallet?

I get them for free from work and use them for projects around the house. Thought they were a nuisance, not a commodity!!

We use pallets everyday and they aren't cheap to buy in a condition good enough to ship in and you cant just rely on being able to find some last minute as a business. We have weekly shipments of pallets but have to keep them locked up because of this very reason. People still come by all the time asking if we are getting rid of any. I hope you figure out who they are.

Yes Virginia, thieves and jerks drive Tacoma's too. Some apparently even hang out with Ranger owners

They are expensive af! The last company I worked for used to send off several hundred pallets a month to get refurbished....we would only get about 90% of them back because they would get stolen in transit (or a couple employees working for the refurbisher were shady). They're one of those unusual "hot commodities" for recyclers, like circuit breakers in new housing developments.

Best of luck @tubbsisland getting them back (or at least financial compensation).

Man, too bad you aren't closer to me. I can get you about three 53' trailers full of pallets for free right now(to offset your loss). You could just come to our dock doors and pick out whatever you wanted.

Matter of fact, I've got a 53' trailer FULL right now and we've called the guy like 4 times to come get it in the past week because we've got two more trailers to fill up because we are running out of space. :annoyed:

I've heard they only get 1-5 bucks when turning in pallets. these guys most likely needed firewood. if the pallets were so expensive then how come you left them outside not locked up or out of site? hope you find them

Love the story and the justice. Hopefully this one turns out just as well.

But I noticed something funny while I was reading.
    Quote from the article:
"When he does get pissed, his eyes are enough to break you in half
and its pretty obvious he can deliver a pallet of whoop ass if he needs to..."
