For the people who have AFR wideband setups, where and how did y'all route the wiring hardness into the cab?

I got an extra harness, spliced them for extra length...iirc i ran it thru a grommet in the firewall on the pass side, ziptied to the crashbar behind the dash and over to the driver side a pillar.

Ill try to remember to check later... its 1am

Where you tapped into the exhaust might make a difference in routing, i had the bung installed in the ypipe.

Where you others have welded the bung? Just for the other bank?

It should be before 1st catalysator if you search for the best accuracy, but how it shows after all 4 cats (after Y-pipe)?

I just used a blank knock out/grommet, cut a hole and squeezed it through. On my truck I was able to run it just above the gas pedal assembly. IDK what the firewall of a 2nd gen looks like though.

I had to cut off the terminal connector off one end of the harness to feed the harness through the firewall. I didn't want to, but the alternative was drilling a hole through the firewall or floor and this was easier.

That works too. How did you end up reconnecting it?

The harness was cut about three or four inches upstream of the connector. After routing it through the firewall, I then lineman spliced the six individual wires back together, shrink wrapped each individual wire, and shrink wrapped all of them together to maintain continuity of the harness.

Yessir. The PLX module is velcroed to the carpet underneath the seat as are the wires. I gave the wires some slack but they're secured and everything is functioning properly. You'll see it Wednesday.

Interesting. I didn't notice those textured boxes in each quadrant of the boot.

It was too tight to get the rubber boot back in and around the wires, so I improvised and made a small hole as depicted - seemed like the "path of least resistance".

Makes sense. I'll take some pictures tomorrow to show what I ended up doing.

I went through the firewall in the passenger side after pulling out a small rubber plug/grommet. The plug does not fit so i sanded the corners of the plug to round it off and to push it through.

Same here, except I didn't sand the plug corners. Just cut, spliced, shrink-wrapped. Added a grommet; I'm debating whether or not to use some GE Silicone II to weather-proof where the rubber of the grommet and harness meet. Overkill probably.

Def overkill. I mean youll get a tiny bit of cold air flow in the winter but if you are getting water in ther you are in way too deap.
