    I build and work on my stuff as well. I hated my DPMS trigger but with some polishing and new springs in it, it's a much nicer pull.

    I thought the same thing, but the new kit I put in was much better than the stock kit it had. I don't know why, but even my friend commented on how it felt smoother.

    I am in the market for an AR and they have a Doublestar 16'' 223 going for $649 on buds gun shop. That is super cheap I think for an AR. They also have great reviews on them on their website. Does anyone on here have any first hand experience with them. Is this a company I should stay away from when choosing an AR platform

    Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
    No first-hand experience with D-star, but nothing to suggest they don't work.
    For a budget, consider CMMG.

    I've not heard any bad reviews on Doublestar rifles but you may want to compare them to Stag, CMMG and Model1sales.

    From what I can gather from Googling, Remington and DPMS have teamed up to build a camo'ed, varmint-style AR which, through comments on various forums and evaluations by gun magazine writers, appears to be well made, reliable, and accurate. Further research on the various sites found will show whether this system will be worth the $$$'s to buy.
