LOL. Always the damn corner lights.

Wondering if we can't find a way to screw them down. That pop in oem way is a terrible setup. May look into this next time my lights come out which will be soon.

Yeah it was the corner light. But if you want to play you have to pay the piper. This morning I saw that my radiator mount is bent so I'm going to have to make some kind of engine cage.

Oh I'm just going to wire it up until I can buy one piece headlight.

    yes I am. USMC

I had a lil stubby screw that I put through my glass into the edge of the marker light from the inside of the glass. Was a bitch to get to but never had mine pop out.

This is what I did, small piece of plumbers tape screwed to the back of the light and the other side to the core support. All of the tabs on my corner lights are broken and they still dont fall out

Nice. Good idea fitting something to the back.

Ray, me too. US Army. Saw your truck at the VA last week. Why I asked. Good stuff!

I've been lazy with securing my corners. I ended up using bailing wire to tie it up for now.

    Nice! Good idea.

Yeah I go to the VA.

Just discovered this build, pretty good stuff in here. I'm curious how the uniballs hold up to these Colorado winters.

Welcome! Sorry to say that they are still pretty new. So far they are holding up well. Plus I would tear them up faster then any other colorado person because I work in muddy when wet and dusty when dry area. It's hard to try and keep them clean. Once I run them longer I let you know how long the lasted.

1 year is about all you get out of them. Some can and usually do push it longer but the teflon wears pretty fast with our winters.

That's a bummer. Are there any tricks to preserve them? It almost seems like you can wrap a bag or some other type of flexible plastic around the joint to keep them dry at least.

In the middle if this page has a couple option for hiems, not uniballs.

IMO it's a wearable item, replace when showing signs of wear and radial movement. And if you try to cover them, water/road grime will get in and it will have no place to go and break down the teflon faster.

You can get stainless bearings, the bodies and balls don't rust and the spacers usually come out easier.

After all that hassle with the 5vz I'd assume an LS swap would be right in your wheel house, logistically. Have you ever considered anything like that? I can't even imagine this truck with v8 in it.

@Gramps you asked me what I was going to do to prevent the truck from getting damaged again. I'm educating myself on building something like this.

    What?
I had a fiberglass hood on my 69 bronco. I bet I spent $20 on hood pins.
