I just got off the phone with Napa, they don't have all of my gaskets but they will by the end of the day so as long as it isn't raining when I get off work this evening, I can prob get this thing back together tonight. If it is raining I will just wait untill tuesday. I can wait for this thing to run well enough for me to pull it in the garage to work on, then I don't have to worry about the weather.

Well I doubt that The rain will hold off for me to work on it today, So give me a call tomorrow after 6-6:30 & you can come by & help if you want. We might even get to work on your truck a bit if we finish earlly enough.

One thing i would suggest is to tear those wheel well trim pieces out of your fenders. I see the previous owner painted over them but they are chrome and with rain/snow/cold temps it will start to rust and eat away at your body real quick. I've taken mine off in time before any of that rust has happened. Just thought i would throw that out there! Looking forward to more updates!

I have my fuel injectors in the ultra sonic cleaner right now, That thing is cleaning the shit out of them. It is even making the paint fall off!! I guess I am going to have to mask them off & repaint the bodies now to prevent them from rusting, lol.

 

Seems like I am getting alot of small particals out of them, The fluid looks filty but I think that most of it is paint, lol. I just replaced the fluid & started again.

 

Suprisingly there was fuel pressure when I cracked the line on the fuel rail loose. I am 100% sure that these injectors are going to be better off with this cleaning. I am planning to buy a new fuel filter also, do you know of it being replaced? I don't even know where it is yet.

 

I already have a Chilton...... and a Haynes, LOL

At least I read the part about removing the injectors . BTW, they are done, I say they look very clean. I will def. have to paint the bodies though, they don't have a spec of paint left on them.

No Progress made last night, I love how I tore it apart then it got cold as balls. I can't wait for spring time.

To get the fuel injectors & upper intake back on, I have a ton of vaccum lines that I need to replace.
