Allpro has a disclaimer stating the warranty is voided on there springs if a shackle flip is used. And that is as far as my knowledge goes on this matter. I have allpro springs and I'm going to do the flip regardless. Because I'm a rule breaker and like to live dangerously.

Dakars are shorter. If you get the Archive kit, you'll have to drill new holes in the frame.
I think with the all-pro, you don't have to.

I am going to do a series of experiments to determine the validity of some of the "truths" that are widely accepted on this forum.

Just a little project to validate the claims that a shackle flip actually adds droop, that shackle angle effects spring rate, and that inverted shackles hold more weight than suspended shackles

 

The math to prove/disprove is far beyond my knowledge, but I can create a real world model and quantify the effects of changes.
