Although Shane is a really good friend of mine, youre right. He should be more active with his site maintenance and be more available on the forums. He's been having a lot going on over the last year including nearly chopping his thumb off so I cut him slack for, well, slacking. The dude's a whiz in the outdoors, mechanic work.... I mean, he's the only guy I know that has single handedly winched his truck up off its side in the middle of nowhere on a solo expedition. He doesn't believe in gps so he uses paper maps and compass only. The dude is a straight bushcraft kinda man. Anyhow... I'm getting off topic. Cheers, mate.

I like the microstart. The size of a couple packs of cigarettes and I've abused it. Jumps up to a 5.9L engine

    Dayum.

I can appreciate that. I haven't had the chance to meet him but I've seen him mouth off a few times on the forum. I think it's a bit cheap to go on and on about a TW "family discount" on their site for months and months and when I start badgering him about why his DIY kit won't accept the code he takes it off the site.

I get personal stuff but aren't they a few guys running that project?

Wait you have been out of school for a year and a half and think making $40,000 is too low?

Ive got on him about getting lippy with people. Especially as a business man. Hes very similar to the nuclear engineers I worked with in the navy. Almost too smart for their own good. They get cocky and its their way or no way. I dont blame you for being annoyed by his actions. Some people, including myself, just need time to get warmed up to and understand different personalities.

Yes, there's one other guy that's in on the business with him. I cant remember his name off the top of my head though.

I advise people now to learn a craft. Dying art and the old timers are retiring. Everyone and their brother can use a computer or has a college degree but nobody wants to get their hands dirty. If you were a diesel mechanic I could get you a job right meow

As a 10 year professional in IT this is the most incorrect statement ever.

I guess maybe you could hypothesize the color of the sky due to reflection of the ocean in the same sentence, some how... Then it would be a bit worse?

I agree. My work and industry is always looking for operators. Literally, its like here 80k per year, benefits, bonuses, work 6 months a year, 401k, etc to come work for us... And thats starting pay. After 5,10, 15 yrs you're making over 100k but still, no dice. Too many younger persons with a degree in business, computers, communications, or some other debt ridden degree. When they could have taken junior college classes, got HVAC certs and their foot in the door as a plant operator.

I was literally bitching the other day about how aggravated it manages to make me when someone actually uses a computer every single day and has NO concept about any of its working components. Much like how someone comes into a mechanic one day with a "funny noise" and asks "What's an oil and how do I change it? I put gas in it when the light comes on, is that it?"
