The kick us young guys too. Im bad about getting the butt hung on my coat and it not making it to my shoulder when I'm caught off guard/in a hurry. 3 1/2 off the bicep is no fun.;)

berretta a300 outlander, went with beret because of gas driven, but considered banneli too. should of got the a400 extreme so i can shoot 3 1/2".. but if i can't get them close enough to shoot with threes then i shouldn't be attempting shooting at all.

Cut out the breasts, soak em
In itallian dressing all day, wrap in bacon and throw on the grill. When about done toss on a slice of pepperjack cheese. Not bad at all

I'm cooking mallards this Sunday that my buddy killed... Going to make jalepenoes/Sriracha poppers.... Cut the pepper in half, fill half with creme cheese, then stuff the other half with duck, wrap the duck around the pepper, then wrap bacon around it all, and grill... Sound good to y'all?

This man knows. Snow goose is just like mallard but bigger. Sear it like a steak and eat it rare. Delicious.

With respect, anyone who would say this has not had snow goose cooked properly. Just like duck, it's ruined if it's cooked gray all the way through. Think of treating it like a good ahi tuna steak if it helps - anything you can do to keep from cooking it too long.

We've cooked snow and specks in the same pot and you tell the snow are a little tougher to eat

Just saw this thread, located outside of Shreveport, Louisiana. We have a lease north of the Toledo Bend Res. that we have hunted for generations. Roughly 300 acres of flooded oak and cypress. We usually average around 300-350 birds a season with most being Gadwall, Woodducks and Mallards. Most of us hunt with Benelli SBEII but there are a few other brands in hand throughout the season. Piroques come in handy due to some of our spots being wither to deep or to trashy to wade. I picked up a Momarsh DP Fatboy with a Backwaters Vanguard 6.5HP mudmotor this summer and it has seen plenty of use thus far. IMG_3023.jpg IMG_3785.jpg

Thanks man, yea its been a very good year for us where we are at. I've heard a lot of guys around us saying this has been their worst year, for whatever reason the duck gods have smiled on us this year. The boat has come a long way since I picked it up in St. Joseph, MO last June!!!

the last 2 years i been going to shreveport on the weeknds to spend time with my ol lady who was at school up there, and every season id get taunted by the hundreds, maybe thousands of ducks id see along i-49. there are for sure thousands of geese along i-49 though. but this season i noticed that there wasnt many ducks filling the ponds along 49 until last weekend when it froze. i saw the most ducks and geese that i had seen all season and it probably wasnt even half of what id see last season. i guess that front finally pushed a little further down.
good luck with the rest of the season fellas

I heard rumors of a new model. I also heard that we may see glimpses of the new gun in the upcoming Benelli two part special "To Kill a King" on the Sportsman's Channel Jan. 23rd. I have always been a Benelli fan. I have a Vinci, Super Vinci and just bought my SBEII Waterfowl Edition this past summer. I have buddies that say Benelli is junk because they have had cycling issues but I personally have never experienced any issues with any of mine. My Vinci is 8yrs. old and has had nothing but Black Cloud through it and I know I can always rely on it.

Yeah I want to watch to hunt a king and yeah supposedly it's a synthetic version of the Amos dubbed the SBE3 according to some people who have seen it.
