I think having to wait is the risk and to be expected, but the guy organizing it skipping out and leading people on for months is more than what is expected for the "good deal".
Or maybe I'm just lucky that the one group buy I did I waited a month for the required amount of people to join then placed my ordered immediately after with the vendor direct and got my part in a week.

What really sucks is the "good deal" everyone is waiting for, some guy posted in the thread a website selling the same snorkel for a better deal. He already has his and didn't have to deal with any of this madness

Fill the space between the outside bar of the slider and the main bar that the legs are attached too.
Turns out if you run over a log it WILL find its way in between the slider bars and wedge it's self against the door locking you in the truck with a dent.

I ran over a oddly shape branch and it wedged in my slider and messed up my rocker and door. Literally in my slider.

That seriously doesn't sound pleasant. Spend so much money to protect your rocker panel, and STILL end up messing it up...

I ran over a branch before I got sliders and it snapped up and wacked my passenger rocker panel and dented it pretty good. So I do see how that can happen.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
These guys are acting like they didn't basically make a deal with someone could run out in a flash. They'd have SOME bit of a case with the thread as proof, but hopefully they were smart enough to put something in the notes about what it was for.

Paypal doesn't charge money on friends/family payment 'cause they won't "insure" it the same as they do with a business transaction. It's analogous to a debit card+PIN being stolen versus a credit card being stolen. A LOT easier to fight a stolen credit card and false charges.

Let's be real here: it's loaning a stranger you've never met money so they can buy a product and possibly ship it to you.

The one group buy I did went straight to the vendor. Homie don't play.

@MotoEd recommended the above. The rain this week will delay my doing so, and I also need to power wash the mud off from this weekend too. Hopefully it'll stay clear next week

My wife showed up with this in front of the house after work today. When I pulled up I was like who the Fuck is this?

It's a loaner because she's getting a special coating applied to her new 4runner. I had to go drive it around. Not going to lie... I kinda like it but I still really love my 2nd Gen. Definitely not going to trade mine in for a 3rd.

Let's take it wheeling this weekend :D

When I bought my '04 at a Toyota dealer last March, they still needed to do some work on it before I could take her home so they offered to let me drive a brand new '16 4x4 for a week...I said no. I just bought a truck that still sports a cassette and single disc CD player. I don't need to get used to the bells and whistles of a brand new one, lol.

She only gets it for 2 days:mad: but it's still nice to check out. It was weird going though the dips down my street without the camper shell weight on the back. It didn't have that extra bottoming out bump like I've got with mine.
