That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw 4x4! I was like NO WAY they use a TRD Sport 4x4 for a loaner. It's a hook. They are trying to get me. It won't work... I must resist!

@lesterb315 How are those new sliders? Did you get them all welded on last weekend?

Haha yeah I already warned her about now fully relying on it as a step, especially right now that they're wet from the rain

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.

It's worth the complaining. When I made my sliders the kids kept calling them steps. They were excited to see me cutting and grinding and welding. All they would talk about is the "steps" for my truck. They do work for steps but I made them ride high and they aren't really easy to use as steps. When we went up to mammoth over the summer we drove up to laurel lake and I put the truck up on a good sized rock to test the sliders. Instantly after that my wife goes "you didn't make steps, you were secretly armoring up your truck". I said maybe:yes:

You almost have to take a running jump out of the truck to not touch them. Sucks for us short leggers. You long leggers have some advantage.

I (from the driver's seat) rest my right foot across the plastic trim/slider and use that to pivot clear of them.

Works as long as I don't forget and get sloppy
