It wouldn't all stay at once. It would snow, some would melt off, then snow some more on top. You'd have a pack of about 2 feet deep all winter though

Oh yeah. They have plow trucks that would scare the living shit out of you when they passed going the other way. They were insanely large, with giant plows that would throw mailboxes, dogs, and anything else it hit waaaaay off the road.

I like how NYC has it setup. The garbage trucks have plows.. and they have additional plows. But Im not saying one place has better knowledge or another does. I havent been to the west coast, so I cant say anything there

AFAIK these were strictly plow trucks, tires were about chest height, (4 feet?)

If your going to Colorado you really ought to check out Colorado Springs and the surrounding area. It's a beautiful city, surrounded by 4 Millitary bases, at the foot of Chyenne Mtn. (It's also where they run the Pikes Peak Hill Climb race), and you get all 4 seasons. My first day there was April first and it snowed. Pikes Peak will have snow on it into June. Your in relatively short driving distanc of alot of really cool places. Just Google Garden of the Gods and see what you think.

I lived there for 2 years. It really is a beautiful place, flat pains to the East and real Mtn's to the west. I say real mtn's once you see them you'll realize all we have are hills by comparison. It's a great city but within a short time there's outdoor adventures all around you.

Cool, thanks. I just bought my 1st Taco in August, trying to meet some people with common interests, get ideas. I'm having fun modding my truck, it's been a while since I had something cool to work on.

there is the central Va. thread but it appears to be fairly inactive. This is a relatively new thread as our group seemed always to be kinda cought between all the other areas. Most of our meets will be in the Fredericksburg area so fairly convenient to you. It's kinda a slack time in here rt now being winter and a new group but we are showing great interest in being active. There's some really good guys in here some of whom cross over to the Northern Va. thread. As spring approachess we will be planning our first meet and , with any luck, a mod day. There is also interest in hitting some trails and maybe a beach run. I am fairly new to this game as well and my truck is fairly stock, but I'm working on that. Idk what your age is but we will also be planning some meets at a local vineyard, I guess age doesn't really matter. So, welcome post up a pic of your truck and tell us some of the mods you've already done and maybe what you'd like to do.

The 1st thing I did was give it a facelift

I've got the original chrome grill if anyone is interested. Next I built this sub box/amp rack and installed a new audio system.

I've got a Bilstein lift from Headstrong Off Road and Falken Wildpeak AT3 265/75/16 tires on the UPS truck en route right now, should be here this week. I haven't ordered new rims yet, still trying to decide which ones I like best. I'm definitely interested in meeting up and hitting some 2WD friendly trails.

100" is insane to me. I can understand why you're over it.

I'm 33, and I was born and raised in Spotsylvania, and moved to Caroline 3 years ago. I'm hoping to end up in the Outer Banks eventually. I've got a half a plan in place, just working on the details.

My dad and I used to make the same run once a year. It's a great trip. I'm sure it was awesome with all the snow.

Plan is, pay my house off here, move to Colorado or Arizona and pay cash for a house there. And then just enjoy life out there. Road trip/camp/ ride motorcycles. But i guess I need to fit in a wife somewhere haha. Not sure about kids. But now I like my toys. Dont want to give that up.

I'm in southern Caroline, just a little north of Kings Dominion. So probably closer to you than the rest of these guys. But like Casper said, the Central VA thread is kind of dead. It might liven up come spring, but who knows.

Sounds like me. I'm already sitting on a decent amount of profit in my house, so basically my payment is kind of a "savings account" for me. I could sell right now and almost clear enough to buy an older small house down there. But I'm waiting to be debt free with a few investment accounts set up.

And maybe a wife. And I guess step kids if she has one or two. Cause at our age, these days, chances are, you're gonna be a step dad. Lol.

truck looks great I'm digging the grill and lights. You'll love the bilstein lift as long as your not going to put it on with stock coils and max them out. Headstrong is a good company to deal with it ought to look great with the stock wheels to. There's some 2wd friendly trails up this way over in Harrisonburg George Washington National forrest
