Pointless thread. 2008 owner who has never driven a 3rd gen posting up Chevy vids. I've owned an 08 Tacoma and the 2016 is a much better truck.

Good for you. You disagree with a lot here. Go trade your 2016 in

Yeah he's a real post whore

On another note , I would rather have a hybrid Tacoma than a diesel one

I'm with you on that. I'm willing to bet we will see a turbo 4 either later on this gen or next then hybrid of some sort.

For those wanting a diesel, I would be very surprised to see one for u.s market.

I guess that makes sense seeing how toyota goes about 10 years before a refresh.

They will sure have lots of competition once the new ranger comes out along with jeep pickup, updated frontier. Only way I can see them changing something during this gen is if they lose a lot of sales...since typically you don't see that from them. Will be interesting to see, they didn't have much competition during 2nd gen.

Thanks for the input, after this grind, I think I'll buy a new Tundra when the snow melts.

Capacity is just that, capacity. A diesel pulling at capacity is totally different animal than a gasoline truck at capacity. Not to mention diesel is more energy dense so I get better MPG and better power at low rpm.

A new Tundra would be nice too. I suspect the next Tundra will maybe get bumped to 19 or 20 mpg highway. Nothing earth shattering

I expect the next Tundra and Tacoma to be hybrids, I also expect the next 4Runner to be a lifted unibody Prius.

I don't understand a diesel mini-truck. It's kinda like crying for a diesel motorcycle. Fucking dumb.
