That is the most recent data of the last several years, I averaged the sales figures for the past several years. How the hell is that cherry picked..

6 months of sales tells us nothing...

My main concern would be the front wheel drive transverse engine drive train. I've yet to see an implementation that's as durable and easily serviceable as a good longitudinal RWD platform. I have zero desire to work on a V6 transverse layout especially when you add in AWD/4WD. The Tacoma 4.0/A750F drive train is proven and easy to work on. Boring but it gets the job done.

6 months of figures debunks your "15k per year" statement. We're 5k over in half the time. You were wrong.

I agree that sales figures might decline, but for now it is increasing ... and the current numbers show that you are wrong. Spin it however you want, but these are the facts, and I think we owe it to readers of the forum to have honest discourse here.

I'm not wrong thats there exact sales figures. They average 15k a year since 2009, anyone who denies that is a fucking moron. Even if you include current sales its still 15000 a year.

    Learn to math bro..

They may achieve 40,000 still doesnt change the fact that they average 15,000 a year since 2009. Though I was wrong the real average including the new sales until December 2016 averages 13536 a year

Will be interesting what will happen to the Tacoma sales numbers when the Ford Ranger comes out. Think Ford fans are more rabid than Toyota's. There was a point where they sold nearly 350K in one year !!!...believe the sales number dwindled because Ford refused to update it.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Ranger_(North_America)#Sales

Honestly don't know why the Tacoma is so popular...maybe because it hasn't had any real competition for so long.

It's funny...when I started buying Toyotas 25+ years ago... was laughed at because it wasn't considered a real truck. First one in my family to stray from an American truck...man, did I get made fun of. And now, all these years later...I am considering going back to a Ford. Had F250's before my Toyota 4Runner & Pickups.

    Facts aren't fallacies...

The irony in your post is that you are denying the numbers

I found a tutorial for you.

Now you're conflating the definitions of opinion/fact. I'll let the readers of this thread decide who the "fucking moron" (as you say) is.

    Math is not an opinion.....

    2009 16,464
    2010 16,142
    2011 9,759
    2012 14,068
    2013 17,723
    2014 13,389

Yeah, Joe is going off the 1st gen RL sales numbers. Doesn't really tell us anything how the 2nd gen will sell...we can only speculate.

If anything...with all of these new trucks both small and large coming to market, it is the consumer that wins....just look at all of the choices we have.

Sales figured usually tend to remain similar across generations. We can realistically use previous sales figures to predict potential future sales.
