So annoyed, I'm 2' of fuel hose away from finishing up my supercharger uninstall and valve cover replacement. The hose that was used with the supercharger is 1' short and I don't want to try and use vacuum hose or install everything and try to slip the hose on past the manifolds. Looks like I'll be back at it tomorrow night...

Also I have no clue what the PO's did to this engine but it looked like crap. Took me a couple hours and tons of scrubbing to get the valve covers clean. So frustrating.

Somewhat cleaned up top and cleaned on the bottom.

Also one side of the engine has dual electrode stock plugs and the other iridium single electrode stock replacement plugs. They looked super old too, probably why the engine ran like crap and so much shit under the valve covers. If this whole truck hadn't cost me $500 I would be pissed right now.

The PO of mine did the same shit. Engine was full of sludge to where there was no turning back. Popped a JDM in and smooth sailing since

When rebuilding CVs, how important is it to make match marks? I started rebuilding a set and didn't make match marks. I now see where everyone else is but I can't find why

now that i've seen my resale value. It has stopped me from really doing much more to the runner. It would almost match the resale for what i want to do lol

I'll scrap the truck before throwing in a new engine. I just want to get some time on the trails then it will be sold. Found out it had 7 previous owners...yikes.

Never done that and I've swapped/rebuilt multiple cv's.

Yeah if I paid any real money for it I would be so pissed but it was cheap and the rest of the truck is fine.

Considering my truck had 2 PO and my old 4runner 1, it's a lot for me. It's been in California which is good thing though. I just want it running again. Damn parts store didn't have the fuel hose I needed and the wife threw a fit when I asked to stop at another store for literally 3 min. Oh well, going to have to make another trip out again...
