I talked with @JeepAndrew when I was first moving out here a couple of years ago. That turned into putting everything in storage... Now it is just trying to find time to do what I want done.

Heading up to Strawberry this weekend to play in the snow. Should be a good time popping my cherry up there!

So that being a National Park differs from BLM land, and in the Park "Only three plants have been found with estimated germination dates after 1993". I imagine BLM land is the same, maybe worse.

So anyway, I got the 1000 saguaro seeds from CactusStore.com in Phoenix - I estimate 5000 seeds can fit in a thimble. I plan to seed them at the south base of various nurse plants and let nature take her course, I will have done my part to help her along. I'll order some more since it's best to plant 3-4 at a time and do it often.

 

Lots of apartments w single garage for under 1K. I'm really digging my place, and the location is turning out to be nicer, quieter, and more critters all for over $1k less than the last. This place is 1250 but I have lots of room inside and out, and my neighbor is cool!

Ive used them all and id say Camelback or Superstition Springs. I like Camelbacks waiting area and a lot of good places to eat right there.

Super is close to me and Andrew tho, so if you worked it out we could meet up and go grab a bite to eat.

 

After reading the comments about this yesterday, I paid more attention on my drive home today. I would say 20% of the Saguaro cactus along SR87 are under 6 ft. My concerns to an issue, I didn't know was an issue, have now been alleviated.

 

Next time through Usery Pass ill be looking also. That drive has a lot of yuuuge saguaros

 

The densest population I believe is in Cave Creek. Some places are so thick you're not able to walk through them

 

The White Tanks race circuit is lined with them. Nasty bastards
