@defenders90 When I went to do this painful process in NC it took 6 hours so I don't need that again or I would go crazy. Can I get my license, registration, and plates all done in one location or are they split up?

You can get it done all in one location. The only thing I'm not certain of is having the VIN inspection done. When I brought my car from KY to here, had the inspection done at the Warwick police station. You might want to check online first though www.dmv.ri.gov

I thought VIN inspection was only when you're buying a car from out of state?

All this talk of DMVs reminded me my inspection sticker expired in December. Guess I should get on that - will have to find somewhere open on Saturday to do it

It also applies for registering a car from out of state which I think @colin_j1 is doing. I had to do it with my Camry when I moved here so I assume they still require it.

I'm looking at lift kits again... Poor wallet...

Still thinking about OME 9000s with 885 coils and a Toytec AAL. Should be about $900 shipped. Then at least a few hundred more to install.

    Poor, poor wallet...

Do the install yourself or have a mod day so people can help. Then, all you'd have to pay for is an alignment and possibly some pizza and beer.

From everything that I have heard about RI DMV's, just plan to stay the day!
Do you guys know how I know that neither one of you have any kids?
^^^ This but get Dakars leafs instead. I have 2 broken AAL's right now and had already replaced one before

I would much rather do it myself, but the lack of tools and experience would hamper that. A mod day would be great though! I love to throw a party, especially if I can cook.

Speaking of, I slow cooked a 9lbs pork shoulder this weekend and made BBQ pulled pork. Even fried the fat cap into cracklins. It was the perfect blend of spicy and sweet. Ugh, now I'm hungry.

I think I'd want to run the AALs for a few months and upgrade to Dakars as needed. The extra cash is tough to justify right now.

That's a good way to get people to come to your house and install your lift for you!
