I was already saving for gears & lockers so i think i'm going to wait until i have enough to do both at the same time. So i think the truck might sit for a month or two.

Does anyone know if you can send a damaged third for a core to ECGS?

 

With a pregnant wife, everything is a solid "maybe" at this point.

If a spot opens up, I might be able to go though.

I would think they would accept a damage third as your core. That is sort of half the point of a core is that just the casing/forged part is good even though the "consumables" are potentially damaged (ie the bearing, ring, seals, ect).

Ya, I would agree, having rebuilt quite a few toyota thirds and other differentials, so long as the bearing caps/race surfaces and main carrier aren't damaged, you can replace all the other parts and they'll use your core.

 

My 45 day old rear 2.5 Icons are both leaking oil. Going to have to take them off and send them in for repair. Can i run my TRD OR shocks with the Icon AAL while they are out getting repaired? This is a rear bummer especially since i have not even been off road with them. Just cursed up a snowy logging road.

 

You probably can run them for the short term and be fine. Looks like you just have an AAL?

@northwesttaco i would suggest breaking into 2 groups already. Put 7-8 people per group, and the waiting list is empty. Maybe see if @Benson X wants to take his truck swimming out there again, or have @penguins_cc blow up his rear diff coming down some rocks in the trail limo.

 

Can we split it into two groups now? There seams to be plenty of interest for it, even if the groups are smaller like 6 & 6.
If the answer is YES, please add me to it.

 

Even if we had 1 big group, Tahuya is big enough to do it. Been there a lot with my FJ80 and the biggest group I went out with was 22 toyotas.

 

if we do two groups my jeep friend would probably want to go
