Thanks. Wish I would have known about these things years ago. Missed out on the really good ones. I bought the executor for a Christmas present to myself this year, paid way too much but it was always my favorite ship.

 

I am right there with you. I took a very long break from Lego and missed out on most of the best sets. I looked at the older UCS models and I was priced out very quickly. I just focus on current sets, retired ones are over priced.

 

I'm glad I got back into it when I did.
Spoke with Lego CS and identified the missing bag - it was actually a large bag with two smaller ones inside... A few pieces are back ordered but they anticipate shipping on 1/16.

Also my Brick Bank arrived today.

 

I love the "stained glass" in that set.

 

Went to the dark side last night. Mega Blocks.... still a cool old set with over 1100 pieces. Missing about 15 pieces, and don't judge the sticker job from 15 years ago haha.

So I'm not sure if you guys keep up with Lego news. The giant rumor mill is that Lego will produce a new UCS Millennium Falcon for the 40th anniversary of A New Hope. The rumors are all over the place from it being a rehash of the original to a totally new design. Who knows what we'll get. I'd like to see something new with an actual interior detail. However with such expectations comes with great cost. I would not be surprised if it's $600+ set. What do you guys think?

 

I'd buy it just to have. As you well know Lego investment has outperformed gold. Fact.

 

I personally would love to buy one if it indeed happens. I don't see it being less than $500. I will have an internal conflict paying that much for one set. However I wouldn't bat an eye spending $500 on say 4 or 5 sets. I guess we will see.

Have you picked up any of the rogue one sets? All of them are delightful and awesome builds. Krennic's Shuttle is simply an amazing display peice, especially when paired with Shuttle Tydirium.

 

No I have not. I will definitely look into them though. If I buy here soon will be kylo Ren's shuttle.
