Figured I'd post a pic of the new grille in here. Just installed yesterday. BAMF economy grille with color-matched back plate.

So I'm going in for my 10000 mile service and was looking for more to say to my service tech. I have had problems with my sunroof leaking. I took it in a while ago and so far they have adjusted it and replaced it with a new one. I called the 800 Toyota number and they escalated the problem and sent a service tech for my area. I live in Michigan and he drove all the way up from Ohio just to spend only a couple of hours on it. He actually told me he did some adjustments and that it doesn't leak as bad as the other 2016 Tacoma they had on the lot. Like that was supposed to make me feel better. So he didn't do anymore with the sunroof and said that it is an acceptable amount of water that Toyota allows to enter the vehicle. It cracks me up that people say their sunroof is fine when I posted a while back ago but no one has done the test I have done. That is to put four paper towels in all four corners of the sunroof, go through a touch less car wash and see if the paper towels are dry. In my situation one of the four paper towels is soaked enough to ring it out and the other three are damp. I understand that going through a high-powered wash is a little extreme but I also get the same results in the rain. I've done the same test with my 06 Malibu And all four paper towels are dry. I would love Toyota to put in parentheses that if purchased with a sunroof there will be an acceptable amount of water entering the vehicle. I wonder how much they would sell then. I bet A lot of you sunroof owners didn't even know Toyota use that terminology. I wouldn't even of noticed it if I didn't put the paper towels up there and the just looking at it you won't notice it either. So I would say PLEASE do this to see if it leaks. The rep told me Toyota won't do anything major it there is not enough complaints. The drain holes are doing their job and water is not entering the cabin but that seems like a lot of water coming in when my Malibu with drain holes doesn't have water coming in at all. My sump pump to my house doesn't have that much water coming in.

At a gas station, I pulled up next to an old Toyota that was damn close to quicksand. I was surprised at how close it was. Good looking truck too. I should have gotten a pic though! It was before I knew about Tacomaworld.com.
