    Damn rough crowd today LOL.

    You have mail...

    mail.jpg

Stainless steel cooking\grilling grates came don't blame her for not bringing them down the drive.

Snow stopped, great. Temps have dropped 15 degrees in last hour and wind is up to 45 mph. Not so great. And time to get snow thrower out or at least soon.

Edit: Now I know why I want to wait, the plow. The phucking plow that fills in the end of the drive when it goes by. Need to wait for the plow to go by. Is it too early for cabin fever? Long winter already. Ice. Yeah there is ice under everything too. ha ha ha ha.....

That pic reminds me of my friends Maibox in Norcal . to keep his mailbox from being ripped apart by a snow plow he made it plow proof

14" dia reinforced steel pipe that's 8' long so 4' above ground and the rest buried below grade into a 4' deep 24" dia sauna tube . the sauna tube and pipe are filled with concrete

A CalTrans Snow plow hit his mailbox a few years ago and it tore the blade off the truck!!!

The old plow driver I was tempted to do a similar project. He took out more than 50' of 40 year old hedges gradually getting further and further into them. I finally was able to catch him and confront him. After I jumped up on his truck and we went a hundred yards down the road and I threatened to drag his ass out of the truck. He did fill me in a few times after that but thank goodness stopped killing my hedges. He retired last year and the new guy is great. When he shows up LOL. But that is a job I would not want to do. I give them a lot of room on the road and every time I see someone pass them when they are running in tandem think they should pull their license like they do with a school bus.

It's going. Back to work tomorrow for a couple of days before a four day weekend. The storms only gave us a little dusting. Very disappointing for the little girl. Areas north of us got a little more but not much. Maybe we'll get another chance. I remember one of the biggest snows in my lifetime here was in March.

    Bummer for your daughter. :(
Growing up in VA, I remember snow days fondly. Some of my best childhood memories are probably being out of school for snow days, sledding and skating on the little neighborhood pond. Damn, I slipped up and fell down memory lane there.
Here's to hoping ya'll get some snow in the next one that comes through. :fingerscrossed:
