Chris-Are you looking at full thickness skids or some that are more "lightweight". I put on tranny and transfer case skids I made out of .150 material and I could certainly feel the weight. And I have a V6, albeit with 106k on it on the 3.4. I would think the 4cyl might feel it even more.

3/16 steel I was wrned away from the aluminum as it apparently dents too easy and drags on rocks

 

Depends on your definition on ok ones eye might fall out, another is about to go all red stapler on his employers etc and we have not convinced US Marine to make his Camaro a 4x4 buggy :}
