When I was 17 I was looking at a Subaru Impreza, nothing special. 2.2 sedan. The guy asked if we wanted to take it for a drive (me and my 17 year old buddy) and we said sure! Then he gave us the keys, and said "see you in a bit"

I would NEVER give my keys to a 17 year old kid and tell him to take my car for a spin.

When I was buying my Taco the sales guy gave it to me to take home for the night and check it over, I knew him but still, good guy Steve!

On another note update I called Nova auto yesterday asked for a quote for a engine rebuild for the v6 he told me off the top of his head 3500-4000 so I think it's safe to say I'm definitely not going that route

I was buying a new CRX in 1988. Loved that car. My first NEW car ever. Shopped dealerships til they were tired of seeing me. One day a salesman in Fredericton was closing on a Saturday as I left. He hopped into a brand new CRX Si and tore out of the place chasing a new Mustang his buddy was driving. The old Sutherlands was down along the river. No idea how fast he was going when he hit the train tracks but he rolled the car 4 times. We had to stay to give statements to the police since we were first on the scene. It cost alot to be cool that day. (He got fired and had to pay to replace the car too because it was not his demo and they could have charged him for stealing it) btw I ended up with a Civic. Same motor and more room than the CRX and $3K less. But not as sexy by a long shot.

Not yet. But it's on the to do list, I swear.

I've got big plans for the taco and the only way I can afford it is to quit!

I was out for a drive in a buddy of mines Tacoma yesterday.... '16 dbl cab 4x4. Nice truck. He is a stock kinda guy with no interest in modding it.... But anyway we went up to Sussex to pick up a chainsaw he was having repaired. Hit the cruise and I have to say ....Holy crap the cruise programming really sucks. It kept hunting for a gear and dropped back all the way to third on the hills.

I thought my FJ cruise control sucked. Really makes me wonder where the foul up is....Can't be lack of power from a healthy V6, right? Our CRV and even the Mini are better programmed. At first I was thinking it had to do with weight. Might it be old programming left over from 4.0 vintage and just carried into the new truck? I was really surprised. I was not expecting to see my buddy have to constantly hit the decel button to keep the truck from grabbing third.

How many km does he have on the truck? From my understanding the computer in those has to learn.
