Should be upper ball joint, that should give more than enough room for 2 inchs, will need some muscle here n there but should be plenty. Put the top of the assembly into the shock tower first. Then put some weight on the spindle/lca to slip the shock eye into the lca. Use a pilot like a punch or screwdriver to line up the lower bolt.

    Confirm sway bar is disconnected?

I drove to work, met a girl for lunch, then drove to get my kids after work.
And I took a picture of my odometer because all the cool kids are doing it.

Thats a top hat spacer. It really should be that difficult. I wish i could offer more advice but im not entirely sure or where the issue is.

    Disco sway bar
    Disco brake line bracket
Removed lower shock nut, leave bolt in
    Loosen 3 top hat nuts
    Remove ball joint pin
    Loosen ball joint nut
    Disco ball joint
    Remove lower bolt
    Remove top hat nuts
    Remove assembly
    Install spacer
Install assembly top first, thread top hat bolts
Muscle in lower mount and complet install

To assist with reconnecting the ball joint, jack up the lca a little then pull down on the uca

The uca to spindle ball joint

If you dont have a ball joint separater, some hefty taps on the side of the spindle at the joint should let it go. It will be noisy, and may take several taps

Started lift kit install in front. Both sides done but managed to fuck up cv boot so will be fixing it tomorrow. Took me roughly 6 hours (had to swap top hats from old shocks, spring compressors are not fun)IMG_0041.jpgIMG_0043.jpg IMG_0042.jpg

Today, somehow, I installed extended front ss brake lines, TC UCA's, and King coilovers.

    I'm tired.
