Dog friendly, with dog snot on inside windows, with of course a/c! Mag 16 inch wheels from a Mazda.
My son has had his 99 4 door Honda Civic stolen in California twice in 6 weeks. Once they took it for a joy ride, found it 10 days later. So he installed a system that plugges into the ECM harness looks just like the regular harness of the car no markings on it company called http://www.ravelco.com/ ,also check Ebay about $65 . So 6 weeks later at another town/apartment someone tries to hot wire it to no avail, but trashes his dash in trying to steal it. I purchased some anti theft decals for him, and he's now in the process of installing an alarm system with a siren.

My friends girlfriend had a remote starter installed on his xterra. They wired it wrong which actually saved his vehicle from being stolen because it would not start when they attempted to Hotwire it! Kinda crazy.

My dealership offered SkyLink, and the finance guy knocked the price down a bit on it. I can't remember exactly how much I paid but it wasn't that much. Pretty decent and shows my vehicles location on a google maps image. Also will tell me every time the truck is started or shut off, and where the event occurred. Does geofencing also, and also text notifications on set speed parameters.

Hopefully I never have to utilize any of the features....

The Automatic Pro OBD2 adaptor is my best friend. For $120, you get free vehicle tracking forever. (No payments) And check engine light monitoring. Also, fuel economy tracking, trip logging, and so much more. The adaptor also works with IFTTT for all kinds of cool things like turning on your philips hue lights when you arrive home, and alerting you when your truck is driving away. It's pretty great. http://automatic.com

I'll chime in, I use this

In my very rare Honda. Works great, small subscription fee, and a nice app to boot. I have it set to send my a text message anytime the car starts as well. Tracking is very accurate and installation was a breeze. Tucked it way high up hidden in the dash and ran its 3 wires, constant 12v, switched 12v and ground.

This is interesting...although can be very easily found and disconnected, no? I still like it a lot...might get it for the taco. But will need something sneakier for my supra.

Hey ! Its now 2021 and those ideas are great ! Although the website is now defunct for the free location to the cell phone, and I gotta call Petsmart and see about that idea...I've been looking into cheaper ways to put my cheaper truck on the GPS map for awhile..
