For Cali . . . that's a great deal! She looks clean. I get constantly asked if would consider selling mine. I drove up to a dealer to look at a 2nd gen and he said "You're NOT planning to trade yours in?! I certainly wouldn't." 1st gens continue to be in demand.

I should have flown to the midwest to get my truck (don't let the name fool you, I'm in Portland, OR). I paid close to $10k for my 1998 SR5 4x4 2.7L manual with 170k. The kicker for this one is it's bone stock and has a giant list of maintenance done to it, by far the cleanest one I could find around here.

There are a handful of vehicles in the PNW that come at a premium, mostly Subaru and Toyota, good thing is the majority are rust-free out here because we don't use salt (excluding along some coast).

Mine spent most of it's life in Florida. I knew about the rust issue and inspected prior to buying. I paid about 7k for mine and have put a little over 3k in maintenance items including replacing the old lift. Wait.... More than that. I rebuilt my r150f for 2400 frog skins. Gonna bury me with this thing. Unless someone offers me what I think it's worth :)

    Stock so far!
Just picked up a 2004 TRD 4x4 extra cab V6 with 140k for $5000, clean one owner truck here in Chicago. Surface rust but other than that, it's clean. I had the 4wd looked at since it didn't work, cost $375 to fix, replaced from actuator and she is working great! I don't think he knew what he had, when i got back from the test drive, there was 3 other guys waiting for him, i just pulled out the cash and said sold!

Hey! I was just wondering what you guys thought would be a fair price for my taco. I live in Canada and purchased a 2000 tacoma sr5 extended cab v6 3.4 L back in 2008. It has 138000 miles on it and is in great condition. (I babied her) it had one owner before me that lived in Las Vegas . Has no rust whatsoever and just a small tear on the driver seats. I'm curious to see what you guys think. Any helped would be appreciated.

I park my Tacoma on the street of my neighborhood and I swear to god every other month someone puts a note in the windshield wipers asking to buy it.

I checked the KBB of my '98 PreRunner 2x4 l4, it's worth somewhere in the range of $7,500. About 80k miles. Probably could get more more since there's an INSANE demand for compact pickup trucks in the Bay Area. I've seen 1st gen wrecked Tacomas sell in the thousands.

Also: No frame rust. Snow is nonexistent in about 75% of California. No salted roads either, the average low in my city is around 45.

Aftermarket tranny cooler, 5100 Series Bilsteins, ToyTec Bilstein front coilovers, SPC UCA's, Alcan leafs, Class 3 Hitch, Tundra Front Brakes,
Something like that would go for just about $10K U.S., provided that all the maintenance is up to date, and that the paint still shines.
